A New Year, A New Blog

With another school year over and a new one just on the horizon I felt like it was an appropriate time to give this blogging thing another try. I'm heading into my last year of high school and it's only just hit me very recently that soon I will be leaving behind everything I've ever really known and have to try and make it on my own and be myself. And I feel like throughout most of my life I haven't tried to be myself or stick up for myself by voicing my own opinions or doing what I would like to do. One of the reasons I am coming back to blogging is to do just that, find myself and get used to letting the true me show to everyone that I come into contact with.

I'm also doing this blog for myself so I can get my feelings out there and into the open. I've noticed that for most of my life I've kept my feelings bottled up and that it's turned me into someone that is closed off and unwilling to let people into my life for more than a little bit at a time. So this is also a blog for me to use as a therapy tool, a little bit like John Watson does in the BBC version of Sherlock that is currently on television.

So that's about all I can think of to introduce what I'm going to do with this blog. I'm going to try and keep it a bit regular by having about a post a week, but it maybe more than that or less depending on what's going on in my life. It's Monday!

Yay, first weekly blog post! For today I'm not going to review anything like I said I'm suppose to. I'm feeling a bit lazy today if you can't tell. But I do plan on doing Monday blogs, starting next week. But then I leave for Pennsylvania and I have no internet access there, so blogs will drop off for at least one monday. Hopefully not two. So have a lovely Monday!

Revamped Blog

As you can see, lately I've been making some changes to my blog. First off, this is going to hopefully be more like a real blog, so I'll be updating it around once a week. And my posts will be much more mature and have very little to do with my personal life. This blog is now going to focus more around current issues, fashion, music, movies, television, trends, and everything in between! So it will be a lot of reviews and it will read more like mini commentaries than anything. So this should be a fun blog and I hope to gather some watchers of my blog! Now get ready for the reviews and pop culture commentaries! Also I'll update the blog on Monday's for those of you interested in what day I plan on posting new blog posts.

All Things Must Pass

All things must pass at some point. A lesson I learned from George Harrison. It was the 9th anniversary of his death yesterday. I looked back on his songs (solo and with The Beatles and Traveling Whilbery's) and realized how many great lessons I've learned from him.

That optimism is the best feeling to feel. That I should always hope to see my lord, no matter what. That he loved his apple scruffs, even though he never had enough time to really tell us.

So please remember such a wonderful man. If you did either yesterday or today.

The Zombies

The Zombies was another group from Britain during the 60's, the era that now is called the British Invasion of music. To me The Zombies where the most underrated of all the groups that came over from Britain during that time. If you've ever heard the songs, "It's the Time of the Season," or "She's Not There," you've heard a song by The Zombies. It may be a cover, but most likely it was the original by this fab group. (And I find all the guys in this group absolutely cute! The bass and guitar players nerd glasses where awesome!) I think that you should check out this group next time your on Youtube or something similar to that.
